We are at the leading edge in all aspects of fabric engineering, producing the finest modular design membrane clad structures. |
|
In Design
Rubb membrane clad structures offer great flexibility in design. The exceptional formability, tensile strength and durability of high quality membrane fabrics allows for a wide variety of structure shapes and sizes. Rubb can supply a large number of standard design pre-fabricated modular design options. These are available in clear span widths up to approximately three hundred feet by any length and with a wide range of wall heights
and bay widths. Designs can be customized to meet local code requirements for wind, snow and seismic loads. Most frame components are easily handled and are designed to ship by common carrier or ISO container.

In Materials
Rubb structure owners appreciate the long term advantages that Rubb materials science provides. Post production hot dip galvanizing to the ASTM A123 standard offers corrosion protection that is far superior to other construction types. This feature minimizes maintenance costs and helps ensure long term structural integrity. The high quality PVC coated fabrics used by Rubb withstand the test of time and heavy
use and offer lower lifetime costs. These materials have a base core of polyester fabric that provides exceptional tensile strength. This base fabric is coated in a multistep process with a durable PVC weather layer. This PVC coating provides exceptional durability, excellent fire safety characteristics and even enhances the tear resistance of the
base fabric. As compared to alternative cladding materials, PVC membranes offer numerous advantages. PVC membranes are quickly installed, are weather tight, are easily repaired if damaged and offer high levels of natural illumination when supplied in standard translucent white. Rubb offers a wide range of standard colors and top finish options to suit customer needs.

In Production
Rubb production plants are fully equipped to design, manufacture and install the steel and fabric components that go into our products. Our vertical integration means that Rubb fully controls all aspects of the design and production process. This allows for complete quality control during fabrication and greater latitude in the range of products we supply. As demand for Rubb products grows, so does our investment in state of art
RF fabric welding, plasma cutting machines, and other equipment which improve the production of component parts. These investments enhance both quality and efficiency and result in lower costs and improved delivery schedules. |
|
In Installation
Rubb membrane clad structures offer efficiencies in construction that provide tangible benefits to the end user. All structures must be firmly secured to the ground, however, foundation requirements for Rubb structures are typically lower than for traditional metal and concrete construction. This is largely due to the ability of our structures to
withstand moderate differential foundation settlement. Rubb products also offer the advantage of being delivered to site as a pre-engineered package; complete with all required components, hardware and trim accessories necessary for installation. The structures are quickly erected on a variety of surfaces using minimal tools and support equipment. Rubb can provide complete erection services with factory based crews or a site technician
to assist local construction personnel. |
|
In Application
The high tensile strength, light weight and flexibility of fabric membranes, combined with Rubb's engineering and frame manufacturing capability, allow Rubb structures to assume a great variety of shapes and to efficiently span large distances. Rubb also offers unparalleled experience with large multi-span buildings in virtually unlimited width and length. Column free, clear span Rubb buildings offer exceptional versatility in
the layout of interior racking and equipment systems. Our ability to custom engineer solutions also gives the flexibility to provide high vertical walls that competitors simply can't match. These design capabilities are a big advantage in a wide range of applications such as aviation, port warehousing and sports buildings, bulk storage, architectural and environmental structures, general industry, marine structures and more.

In Added Value
Rubb is the manufacturer of choice for customers interested in long term value. These customers recognize the advantages of a membrane structure including efficiency of construction and relocation, high levels of natural illumination through the translucent roof membrane, and low lifetime maintenance costs. These customers also recognize that Rubb is the right choice when it comes to materials, engineering and service integrity.
Rubb structures can be counted on to deliver consistent, capable performance over the long term in extremes of both weather and use. |

In Standards
Rubb follows proper engineering standards in the design of all of its building range products. Using proven and accepted engineering software together with sophisticated structural analysis tools developed for Rubb, we design structures to strictly comply with appropriate building code requirements for wind, snow, seismic and other loads. Unlike competitive designs which often rely on imprudent design assumptions, Rubb strictly adheres to code requirements for wind and snow load pressures on the building. And unlike many other building systems, Rubb also designs its structures to be structurally stable in the event of a partial or full failure of the cladding membrane due to fire or other cause. The net result, a safer building. Rubb is committed to supplying products and services that fully meet or exceed our customer's expectations. In support of these efforts, the Rubb organization began work over a decade ago to standardize processes and procedures and to gain certification to ISO 9000 international quality standards. Rubb's UK facility was first certified in 1996, Rubb USA in 1997 and Rubb Norway in 1999. Today, all Rubb manufacturing facilities are certified by independent registrars to the latest ISO 9001: 2000 standards.
