Folding Door Systems, Industrial Building Doors, Roll Up Doors
Rubb Buildings and Shelters can be customized with many different types of doors to accommodate your needs.
There are as many options for customizing the doors in a Rubb structure as there are applications. Whether you need a traditional-style industrial building door to allow entry of vehicles and loading equipment, sliding hangar doors or a customized solution, our design and integration expertise with door solutions is unmatched.
Industrial Doors Designed and Manufactured by Rubb
Our separate Rubb Doors division based in Poland has a proprietary industrial door pictured to the right. This folding door is currently in use at Viking, Ltd's production facilities and is now being incorporated into new Rubb building designs.
This double-plated door is built with a hot-dipped galvanized steel frame with rubber gaskets between blades, and a rubber seal between the bottom of the door and the floor. ASSA high-security stainless steel locks make this door acceptable to both fire authorities and insurance companies, and a secure lock between the bottom of the door protects it against wind damage.
In addition to its heavy-duty construction, the Rubb industrial door is convenient and easy-to-use. A single person can easily close it with one hand, and the unit comes flat-packed for inexpensive transportation to the job site. The door comes with 50mm of insulation, and double-insulated polycarbonate windows are available as an option.
Aircraft Hangar Doors Designed and Manufactured by Rubb
Rubb's distinct line of fabric hangar doors are used in high-intensity military applications in our Rapid Erect Hangar and Rapid Environmental Shelter products.
The specialty of these doors is easy set-up, relocation, and transport, while offering unmatched durability and weather protection. Only military-grade heavy-duty fabric is used in the construction of these doors, which is both lightweight and repaired in the field, making it ideal for long-term deployment and reuse by military operations. Both the RES and REH have outstanding snow and wind loads, while also being suited to desert applications.
We are constantly innovating with our door systems, such as the Trident door used on our Rapid Environmental Shelters. The Trident door, like the RES, is designed to suffer through heavy snow and wind loads and is shaped to comfortably fit helicopters and aircraft.
Fast Jet Doors
To form the fast jet doors and to support the fabric, two hinged gable frames on each side of the centre line are pivoted at the apex of the gable so that their lower and outer ends can be lifted to open. The central vertical frames are fitted with extensions to support the fabric when the doors are in the open position.
The door gable frames are lifted by a hand operated winch (GM20) or electrically operating trident winches, and wire cables are guided by pulleys. A safety strap is provided to hold the doors in the open position.
Provision is made for the wire cables to be unclipped from the nearside door and attached to the opposite door to allow the door members to be winched closed in high winds.
To provide unimpeded access for aircraft wheels, the gable foundation channel to the fast jet doors has an easily removable centre section or aluminium ramps can also be provided.
Custom Door Solutions Designed and Manufactured by Rubb
An example of a custom door we've designed and manufactured is a fabric stacking panel door used by Intermarine in Savannah, Georgia. This door consists of five individual panels that slide between two vertical guide beams. The panels are lifted in and out with a crane, and include fittings so they can be stacked atop one another when removed. Ladders are built onto the face of the doors so the doors can be latched together when in place.
No matter what the demands of your project, Rubb's skilled and experienced staff can design and manufacture a door to meet your needs.
Third-Party Door Solutions Installed in Rubb Buildings
Rubb also integrates door solutions with industry leaders such as Norco Hangar Doors, Megadoor Hangar Doors and Cookson Roller Doors. Use of standard industrial and aircraft hangar measurements means the greatest flexibility in door options, and for standard applications such as storage buildings and aircraft hangars, third-party doors can provide an effective solution.
