Rapid Erect Military Helicopter Hangars - Helicopter Hangars
The Rapid Environmental Shelter (RES) is a further development of the Rapid Erect Hangar. It is lighter, stronger, faster to erect and more compact to transport than any other similar military shelter structure in the industry, making it an ideal field fixed-width aircraft or helicopter hangar.
The RES military shelter is available in two standard sizes: a 20.4m span and a 25m span. The entire structure - with a width of 20.4m and overall length of 30m - will fit into one single 20ft ISO container. The larger 25m span structure, which has an overall length of 36m, will fit into two 20ft ISO containers.
The structure is designed in aluminum and for Rubb it is the first time we have used our Trident door in our military structures. This military shelter is also available with various door options:
The Rapid Environmental Shelter is the latest in large rapid deployment structures. It is designed to take high snow and wind loads allowing it to be used in virtually any operational environment. Numerous RES structures have been ordered by the RAF in the UK as shelters for both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
The hangars have been specifically designed to comply with a very stringent military compliance matrix for the Royal Air Force. View the EFASS (Expeditionary Forces Aircraft Shelter System) Technical in-field support site.
The materials, equipment and components used in this hangar have been carefully selected with quality functionality and reliability taking precedence over economy.
Option 120.4m span primarily to house any military fighter aircraft or attack helicopters.

This particular building has been developed for rapid deployment and erection using a minimum workforce of eight trained personnel and without the aid of any mechanical lifting equipment. The whole system can be built and operational within ten hours, without the aid of any mechanical lifting equipment.
