Northern Maine Construction Project

Rubb was asked to provide a custom designed structure that would meet local building codes. This enclosure was used to cover the building site of a custom log home. This building needed to maintain a controlled environment. This design would allow the customer to meet a tight schedule in a harsh environment.

Portland, Maine

Cianbro Portland, Maine Construction Project

Shipboard construction presents many challenges for marine contractors, one of which is working in inclement weather. Trying to make major modifications on the deck of any vessel is difficult when the weather is good and down right miserable when Mother Na-ture rears her ugly head.

When the Cianbro Corporation of Pittsfield, Maine needed crane liftable structures for shipboard work enclosures, they turned to the experts at Rubb for a simple and cost ef-fective solution. Using two Rubb 39.4' (12m) x 40' (12.2m) THA shelter range buildings equipped with lifting hardware and slings, Cianbro personnel can easily position the shelters on deck and perform their tasks in a dry environment. When the work is com-plete, the structures can then be lifted to a new location wherever needed.

Norway

NCC Norway Construction Project

The quick installation and high-quality working environment of Rubb buildings make them a popular choice for construction projects. One recent example is this NV building supplied by Rubb Norway to NCC, one of the largest construction companies in Norway. The building is 15m x 21m x 3m (50' x 70' x 10') sidewall, with a 4.5m x 4.5m (15' x 15') insulated steel folding door.

This is the second NV building we have supplied in a short space of time; both are intended for use in conjunction with the new metro line that is being built between Bergen and Nesttun. This is one of the major infrastructure projects in the Bergen region in the coming years and NCC has a large part of the contract to complete this metro line.
