Gwinnett County DOT Buford, Georgia Shelters Project
Gwinnett County, Georgia was searching for a low cost solution to protect their area from contamination associated with storm water runoff from their salt and sand pile. With the low snow loads common to the state of Georgia, Rubb's THA range shelter met their requirements. The shelter measures 40' x 40' and was installed on a conventionally poured concrete foundation which also served as the berm wall to pile the salt and sand against.

TEM is a local Maine company that required another 2,000 square feet of storage capacity. With a set budget, strict property setbacks and the ability to gain access from the existing structure, a combination of (2) THA shelters (32.8' x 70' and 40' x 10') and one THX shelter (10' x 10') provided everything needed to meet their requirements. All structures were erected on jersey barriers to achieve a higher height requirement.

Unilock was looking for a low-cost alternative to conventional building methods to house their tumbler processing area. They were also looking for a high quality shelter than others they have seen previously. The Rubb THA shelter with its larger member sizes and thicker PVC fabric provided what the customer needed. This structure was provided with multiple custom openings and strip doors to aid in their process.

These are pictures of a Rubb THAB shelter measuring 10m wide x 24m long with 3.35m side wall. This shelter was purchased by UNHCR - Damascus, but is was erected by a Rubb crew at Al-Tawil Refugee camp in Iraq. This THAB shelter is a standard relief agency sized structure and it can store up to 500 tonnes of bagged grain. Frode Gjøen our International Sales Director and a Rubb erection supervisor traveled to Iraq to help with the installation of this structure.

Rubb Hall supplied a 12m wide by 18m long by 4m side wall NV structure to ResQ AS. This structure has a 3mx 3m steel side door. The structure is located in Haugesund and ResQ AS uses this Rubbhall to cover a concrete pad and water tank for used in simulating helicopter rescues in water/sea. ResQ AS is the largest Norwegian owned company in the safety and readiness training.

Rubb Norway supplied an 82’ wide structure to the United Nations Food Program at their base in Southern Italy. Steel sidewalls were added to extra security. The white roof ensures a bright, internal work environment.
